BRIDGING GAPS - BUILDING COMMUNITY (December 2017/March 2018)   
 

Building and launching of a comprehensive set of tools aimed at ensuring accessibility to information and services for the Spanish speaking community, with particular emphasis on reaching out newcomers and vulnerable sectors: women heading households or facing violence and youth at risk of social exclusion. Funded by the Ministry of Citizenship and Immigration and kindly supported by the Latin American Studies Program and the Department of Spanish and Portuguese at the UofT and the Hispanic Canadian Development Council.

 
 
 
CONÉCTATE - LET'S CONNECT (2017/2018)  
 

An e-learning platform based on webinars developed by and for Spanish speaking older adults funded by the Ministry of Seniors Affairs of the Province of Ontario and supported by the Department of Spanish and Portuguese of the University of Toronto.

 
 
FIND OUT AND GET ACTIVE - INFÓRMATE Y ACTÍVATE (2017/2018)     
 

An effort to generate widespread awareness in Spanish on health issues through printed materials, on-line tools and presential workshops.

Key supporters of these efforts are the Alzheimer Society of Toronto and WoodGreen Community Services through the Community Outreach to Vulnerable Seniors Funding Initiative 2017-18.

 
 
 
THE VIRTUAL OLD TRUNK OF THE STEREOTYPES -  EL VIEJO BAÚL VIRTUAL DE LOS ESTEREOTIPOS (2017/2018)     
 

Una iniciativa que comenzamos a desarrollar desde 2015 y que ha tomado fuerza en 2017 gracias al interés demostrado por organizaciones hermanas como el Hispanic Canadian Heritage Council.
